The inner game / outer game debate is constantly raging..
..but there’s one thing that is constantly being left out of it.
So to make sure you can make an informed decision about which direction you want to go, I thought I’d ask the questions that need to be asked.
If you walked into a store that sold machines that cut off your balls..
..would whether or not you bought one would be determined by how good the salesman was?
Do you think there’s any amount of skills or sales techniques he could learn to convince you that you needed one of those machines in your life?
If you’re anything like any Man I’ve ever met, you’re going to answer no.
So, why not?
Why aren’t you going to buy a ball removing machine, regardless of the skill level of the salesman?
It’s really not a hard question to answer: because it’s simply a product that you don’t want.
If you’re anything like me, you like your balls and you like them where they are, thank you very much.
Now, I’m not asking this because I’m thinking about opening a shop to sell ball removing machines and wanted to do some market research..
..I’m asking because this issue is one at the heart one of the biggest draw backs of the ‘outer game’ path.
Learning outer-game is all about learning how to sell yourself better. It’s about taking what you have right now, wrapping it up in a nicer and prettier package, and trying to move it out the door.
The reason that a lot of guys don’t get the success that they want from just using outer game is that regardless of the sales skills..
..the product they’re selling is still a product that the women they want still don’t want to buy.
It doesn’t matter how nice the box is for this ball removing machine, you’re still not going to buy it.
It’s not until the product is something that you actually desire that the salesman’s skill comes into it.
And, if the product is really that unique and you desire it that much, the salesman can even be bad at what he does and you’re still going to buy it.
What if they added a few features to the machine? What if they made it so the machine could also record TV programs you really wanted to see?
What if it could also tune your car?
Would you be more likely to buy it?
What if it learned to cook and could produce great meals on demand? Are you more interested yet?
Now, what about if it gave amazing blow jobs as well? Would it matter how good the salesman was then?
Now, what if, on top of all that, the machine made you feel loved, excited, passionate, and desirable? How much sales skill is going to be required to get you to buy one then?
This is where inner game comes into it.
Inner game is about changing the product to something that someone desires. It’s about making the product something that people actually want in their life so that sales skills can actually come into play.
But more than that, if you really work on your inner game, you can get to a place where learning sales skills becomes unnecessary.
Now, you have a simple choice to make.
Would you prefer to spend you time learning how to sell a product a that people don’t want or would you prefer to spend your time creating a product that people actually want so you didn’t have to bother selling it?
Your choice.
